Dining and shared-space schedules in a residence

Daniel Arochena · Creator of Calendaro

A shared feed for stable hours, with clear editing responsibility and privacy limits.

Separate different opening times

Fictional example: breakfast Monday–Friday 07:30–09:00 and weekends 08:30–10:00. Lunch every day 13:00–14:30. The period is November–December 2026. These are not hours from a real residence.

One daily entry cannot express both breakfast schedules: use one for weekdays and one for Saturday/Sunday. Lunch has its own recurrence. Include the period and building time zone.

Review shared information

Photograph the full notice and explain whether public holidays have different hours. Calendaro does not know special closures: do not exclude holidays if dining remains open.

Check each service's hours, weekdays and dates in the review. Add the location to distinguish dining and common rooms. For specific bookings, use actual dates, not opening hours as if they guaranteed a reservation.

One link for readers, not editors

One person creates and manages the calendar. Share only the subscription link with readers, never the edit credential. Apple and Google can use the same source through their respective procedures.

This flow has no team-role management. Subscribing does not give editing permission. Avoid names, room numbers and personal routines when they are unnecessary for a shared timetable.

Changes and revocation

When the notice changes, check it and edit the original calendar. Announce urgent closures elsewhere because every device may not have refreshed the feed yet.

If the link leaves the intended group, revoke it and distribute the new one to the right people. Each reader must replace the subscription. Revocation does not delete downloaded copies, so minimise data from the start.
